lan started out singing Tallis and Gibbons on a street corner in Ottawa's Byward Market at thirteen. Today more than 32,000 people follow his free singing lessons on Instagram, where his videos on head voice and technique have been watched over a million times.

On a stage or on a phone screen, he wants the same thing: for people to hear a countertenor and lean in.
